The deadline to submit your play to the Ground Zero Fringe Festival is 11:59 pm EST on Monday, November 19th, 2018.
Submission Requirements:
- Length – no more than 45 minutes, no less than 20 minutes. Since the general rule is approximately 1 minute of stage time per page of script, you should aim for your script to be roughly somewhere between 20-45 pages. If it's a little less or a little more, it's okay, but too much either way will not be accepted.
- Content – anything that you are interested in writing about, provided that it is appropriate to be performed for students at a university. Plays will not be unreasonably censored, but we will not select a play that promotes values in opposition to our values about inclusivity, anti-harassment, or discrimination.
- Size of Cast – whatever number of characters you feel is best to tell your story. Keep in mind the length of your show and the ability for characters to have an impact within that time limit....and the size of the stage in the Fred Thury Studio Theatre. We'd recommend a cast somewhere between 2-8, but it's up to you.
- How to Submit – send your script in PDF format to groundzero@vaniercollegeproductions.com by the deadline posted above, submitted in the following way:
- Subject of Email: GZFF Submission – TITLE OF PLAY
- Name of PDF File: TITLEOFPLAY.PDF
All shows selected to be a part of the festival will receive the following:
- 2-3 hours of tech
- Show Logo / Dates featured on Official Festival Poster
- Complimentary printing of playbills/programs (subject to adherence to playbill/program guidelines)
- Limited Production Support (Costumes, Props, Set Pieces, Rehearsal Space) to be announced
